Parent is Such a Strong Word
Summary:
Inspired by both the novels "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings", this short story takes place 50 years after the Hobbit. According to the author, J.R.R. Tolkien, a variety of things happen, which lead up to Frodo's journey.
In this novel, Bilbo slowly becomes used to taking care of Frodo, whom he recently adopted. Years before, Frodo's parents had been killed in a boating accident. Afterwards, Bilbo adopts the child. The reason why he did so was not clear for anyone, even Bilbo himself often wondered why he took Frodo in.
Throughout the story, while Frodo grows into the adult he becomes in "The Lord of the Rings", Bilbo too realizes a great deal of courage, affection and the sinisters manipulations of society through tremendous events that both Bilbo and Frodo face together.
