The Violinist Boy

Summary:
Lewey lives a humble life of poverty and hard-labor, noticeably worsened by his father's abusive and drinking habits and his sisters intense illness. Having been abandoned by his mother when he was still very young, this 14-year-old boy sees life as being nearly hopeless. However, after finding that he has the enchanting ability to play the violin, he comes to the see a world outside of his father's oppressive tyranny. This is a piece of coming-of-age, in which Lewey transforms from a helpless, oppressed boy, to a capable and successful man.
