The Gift of Winter
Summary:
The metallic smell stung my nose. My body was trapped in knives, and a heat enveloped me, making my skin burn. I am not here, I tried to persuade my mind. But it felt so real. I couldn’t stop the frost from forming on my fingertips. When I opened my eyes, I found my arms covered in a thin layer of ice. I needed to get in control. I needed to be perfectly in control. Especially if my parents expected me to stay hidden. I let out a cold breath. My recent nightmares of the future were definitely worrisome, with more fighting and death.
