Exceeding Humanity MAG
Spreading like a virus
along highways supported by
Bandwidths invisible to the eye,
we speak in tongues of
Text.
Emotions and voice snuffed
by binary and blogs;
it's painless this way.
Why have a heart-to-heart –
feel the warmth of another!
When a quick click
And a detached screen is much more
clean
Conversations remain cordial when
circuitry's the middle man, and
You're not accountable for your actions
when an icon is the perfect
poker face.
a smilie in place of a
kiss; iluvu a surrogate for
an outdated phrase.
We think we're closer
than ever, in an age
where verbal static is
Obsolete.
But our souls are short-circuiting,
Embalmed in the plastic of
Cells,
Computers,
TVs.
Yet we'll surge on,
Embrace a future shot through with
Wire, and artificial anything …
so long as it powers
our digital dependency.
