My Biggest Fear
I am barely into my teen years and my biggest fear is getting hurt or killed by a gun. It scares me to think that a kid my own age is dying while trying to get an education. And you can't help but think what if my school or my sisters school or my best friends school is the next one. What if the only thing separating me from these terrible actions are the lock down drill that we practice once a year at school. I know I am not the only one who feels this way, my friends, my family, my teachers, my neighbors are scared and they are scared for good reason. They are scared because political figures and government officials are hell bent on sharing their hopes and prayers. Why not write bills, why not use your power to end fear rather to grow it. Why am I more worried about this than the president of the united states. There is one thing I beg of you while reading this please make change, please don't sacrifice my generation for your guns.
