Rick Snyder: Good or Bad
What would say if someone came up to you and asked you about Rick Snyder, the governor of Michigan,(the one who had poisoned one of his cities with lead contaminated water without telling the citizens),would you say he should keep trying to fix the situation or that Snyder should stop what he is doing and resign as governor. If it were me i would say, “I think Governor Rick Snyder of Flint should resign.”...What's your answer…?
I think this because Governor Rick Snyder knew about the bad water and didn't do anything or tell anyone about it. The governor didn’t apologize for his mistakes. Rick Snyder’s emails about the water were worse in that year than the past 5 years.("More than 40(related to lead poisoning)cases reported since last April")
The governor didn't do anything about the emails. The governor knew about the problem months before and didn't do anything about it. The governor should resign because Snyder knew about what was going on and this was not safe for the public and this shows the governor wasn't doing his job properly.
A possible role in the Flint Crisis is Governor Rick Snyder making this whole situation about racism. A lot of the population of Flint area is African American and a lot of those people in Flint are below the poverty line. “Flint is a majority African-American city where, according to the census, 40 percent of people live below the poverty line. Do you think that played a role in the state's response?” This could very well be why Governor Rick Snyder kept the lead contamination a secret to the citizens for three months.
There are many reasons why Governor Rick Snyder has done what he has done. Governor Rick Snyder could be playing a role in Environmental Racism He could be a racist towards the mostly African American city and never told them about the water contamination or the emails that he got about the water contamination because he could not care about the people of Flint, Michigan.
