Should Marijuana Be Legal?
The question of legalizing marijuana remains a hot topic of debate in today's society. Many states have leaned in favor of the plants legalization for both medical and recreational use. The benefits of marijuana have been proved by scientists to help tremendously in both cancer and alzheimer's treatment, as well as other serious illnesses. Not only is pot helpful for medical use, but it would also benefit the state's economy by putting taxes on the product. Legal regulation of the marijuana industry would create a safer environment and eliminate any illegal drug trafficking both domestically and across foreign borders. The evidence in support of legalizing marijuana across the nation is unwavering, however many still argue that the drug could be addictive or used as a gateway to other harmful substances. The question remains in the air while more and more states pass laws in favor of legalizing marijuana.
