Equality vs Inequality
•I first learned about inequality in the 7th grade, I learned that everything isn’t equal. I learned that things were not equal when I looked at this film about Rosa Parks called The Rosa Parks Story. In the film she was getting on the bus and the blacks and whites were separated. The whites would sit in the front and the blacks would sit in the back. There weren’t any more seats on the bus in the back where the blacks could sit so Rosa took a seat in the front. The white bus driver told Rosa Parks to get up and give her seat to a white passenger. She refused to get up, so she got arrested and went to jail. I realized that everything isn’t equal because an innocent person was arrested just because she wouldn’t get up for a white passenger on the bus.
