Many people have the belief that cheerleaders are not athletes, but this belief is not true. Cheerleading requires physical strength and endurance in order to keep the enthusiasm level up for extended periods of time. In order to perform the stunts that crowds love to see, girls must be in good physical condition and be in a clear state of mind. It is true that cheerleaders are performers, but for the performance to be entertaining, the girls must mirror the strength of the players. In order to participate in cheerleading, a girl must practice every day just like any other athlete. Selected schools’ cheerleaders across the country are invited to compete, which requires intense practice and preparation in order to have a chance for a national title. This kind of competition can be compared to that of any sports team competing for a state championship. The athleticism required is vital to the role of the cheerleader.

Cheerleadering is a sport, and they are athelics. They have the most practice than any other sport I've witnessed. They're consistly practicing. Cheerleader is the sport where most people get injured. A lot of girls go to the hospital because they broke a bone or just spraned an ankle.
