The Trees

While I was out on a walk, I noticed that the leaves had turned red and fell from the trees. The red leaves had great contrast on the sidewalk. It was almost overwhelming, like lava on ice. The red leaves continued to fall from the tree, as if it were bleeding.  The trees would move in an odd manner, like it has its own language. I watched as a squirrel climbed onto it. It seemed like it wanted to hug it; to appreciate its existence.

What I wanted to do was to try to put what is in my mind into words. I wanted to show how trees were important for the environment, and why we shouldn’t cut them down. I like how it repeats a similar phrase every time, but with a different meaning every time.
