I refuse to waste my time with stupid, meaningless relationships! No offense to those who do.
Sometimes I wonder. I wonder if everything always has to end up so morbid. Love, happiness, life...it all ends bad. Love, now that's dangerous. I mean, I've never been in love; I'm only a child, but I've seen what it can do. I've witnessed the magic of it, and the danger of it.
I once herd in a movie that people want to find love because it's the closest thing to magic, but I believe that some people just want to feel whole, and that true love is what they might be missing.
Kids my age get to be reckless, stupid, innocent and irresponsible, but what I don't get, is that they all rush. They through the "L" word around like it's just a suggestion or a stupid word that doesn't mean anything. "OH! I Love my Hubby so much," like, come one! Hubby...what is that? We're kids! We don't have hubbies( husbands)! Why would we want to? We get to be free and love holds you down in so many ways. Love is so powerful, that the word is even powerful.
"Oh babe! I love you so much! we're gonna be together forever!" It makes me sick. What fourteen year old wants to spend the rest of there life with there current partner? I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but most fourteen year old kids don't even stay in a relationship for over a month let alone forever! Also, we're all too selfish anyway, including me.
We get to be selfish. To be in a relationship, you have to put the other person before everyone else...including yourself. That means dedicating all your free time and devoting yourself to your partner. What teenager wants to do that? What teenager ever did do that?
I'm sure they're a few who have, but their future's are so limited. They have to worry about going to college, because they don't want to leave their "hubby" or "wifey" behind, they might not even go to college because they think they'll be together forever, and then a week after rejecting college they brake up and then what? What's in their future then? Working at Walt mart?
Why start something so complicated so early if you have your whole life to experience it, and to experience it right? Relationships are not for kids, and fake relationships are annoying and useless; they have no meaning. I want to go to college, and I want to fall in love, but not anytime soon. I refuse to say, " I love you," when I don't mean it, and I refuse to waste my time with stupid, meaningless relationships.

I'm only fourteen (going on fifteen and a half... driver's permit here I come!) and I know what you mean.
It used to bug me immensely when my friends and their boyfriends/girlfriends started with the whole, "Babe, I love you so much."
At first it was irritating. I mean, were fourteen! Our hormones are riquocheting all over the place; we don't know what love is!
But I realized... there's many various shades of love. Though I don't agree in saying, "I love you." within the first week of being together, I do believe that at this age we have the ability to know what love is. It's just a different kind of love.
Marriage revolves around love, yes, but a different sort of love. This is a very, deeply commited love that you know is forever and ever.
But at this age... what's not to love about love? We've all fallen in love at one point or another. At this age, you just get that feeling of pure happiness, that feeling of kinship and newfound joy.
It's a stage that everyone goes through, and I don't think it's something that we should avoid.
Everyone deserves to fall in love at one point, no matter what age.
i dont hear hubby either or wifey i hear omg thats my boyfriend or my girlfriend
i also hear ya we r dating or going out so it really depends on how far along in the relantionship u r but we r kids we can be far in a relationship but we will never be married for a LONG LONG LONG time
really?!?! u may choose the bf/gf over your friends and i can respect that but if ur friend doesnt like ur bf/gf thats something to think about. yes ur friends have to get used to ur bf/gf but u should also think about your friends
friends are like stars
u might not always see them but u know they r there
a bf/gf is like the moon seen when u unexpect it
or when u dont want to see it
love is also knowing u dont want to leave said person.
but there are 2 different kinds of love
there is the love like when a parent loves u
then there is love like when ur in a relationship and u fell that this person u r with is the right one

thats true
people say "omg i LOVE him" they mean " omg i REALLY LIKE him" or "omg i think he is A NICE GUY"
people also overuse hot
they would say " oh he is hot"
but they mean " oh i think he is attractive but odds are i wont date him"
but if a couple is like 15 or 16 they truly dont know what LOVE or HOT
people wreck lives for a couple but they dont know what they are getting themselves into
im young i still have a long way to go but there is danger in LOVE
read between these lines of LOVE
L da O ng V er E!!
i can respect that, and I am not trying to put you down but love isn't what it seems. I thought I loved a guy and then let him go and weel, our relationship has improved!! Well, gtg and I don't want to codem you becasue you may very well be in love!

i agree in one aspect. i think that if you're married and have childen, than you put your family before yourself. but if you're still in the bf/gf stage you deserve some time to yourself.
also, LOVE is a very overused word that is taken too lightly. people don't realize the seriousness of what love actually is and think they are in love and end up making terrible mistakes.
"To be in a relationship, you have to put the other person before everyone else...including youself. That means dedicating all your free time and devoting yourself to your partner."
ok sorry to say but i strongly disagree with this quote.. ok people arent getting married first of all you're making it seem that they have to be with that person for the rest of their life. its not that way at all... being in a relationship doesnt have to be just about that person either.. boring!.. A real meaningful couple wouldnt hold one another back from going to college and accomplishing their goals.. a bf/gf is there to support and give you that little push to succeed. And if thats not the case then hey maybe you really arent ready for a relationship.. but dating should be during your high school years not anything serious or anything but just there for fun.. i mean if you dont like to have a companion thats on you but some maybe find their true love.
I completly understand this. I mean, I am 17 now and I have NEVER had a boyfriend..and never even loved anyone. I mean, I do have crushes but i dont want to be that person. I just like them until it fades.
I hate all the mushy and cheesy talks and it bugs me when i see 12 year olds telling me that they are MADLY in love. i mean, come on..have you got nothing better to do? Breaking up because he didnt make you a bloody card on your birthday or gift you your favorite crayons!
I obviously want to fall in love. I want to experience how it is but now, seems too close..or too scary perhaps. I cant let anyone hold me down and tell me what to do..what to wear.
I dont want to get into a fake relationship, get cheated and then fear to fall in love ever again all my life.
Though sometimes, seeing my friends i wish there was someone who kept calling me just to say he cares but then i have friends who call me at 4 in the night to help me with my homework indirectly showing me how much they care and meaning it too.
Life is like that. You gotta live in the moment :)
DreamingOutLoud-
Love is more amazing than you could ask or imagine. Love isn't finding someone to talk about, satisfy your physical desires or make you feel special. Love isn't fitting in or feeling something for a person.
In Genesis, when God created Adam and Eve he loved them. He intended for them to live forever with him in perfect harmony because his love would last longer than eternity. Of course, Adam and Eve made a terrible mistake and though they didn't lose Gods everlasting Love. They lost the intimacy with him.
So when God first designed love he made it so it was forever, something that went beyond death and sins. That conquered everything.
I am not denying that you are in love because this love may very well be forever. But i hope that you'll realize the quantity of true everlasting love.
I have never been in love-I always thought I was until I stopped and realized how i really wasn't.
I am not condemning you or what you call love. Think about this, would you marry the person you are in love with?
Thnx
Syd
