Clockwork
We spend our hours throwing away seconds, and sending the minutes out to find them. But eventually we’ll call them back, and put them together to make days. Soon we tire of the days, so we count them off one by one until we have years. The years will grow, and we will ignore them, until they’re just too long to ignore. So we’ll walk down them until we reach an eternity. Then like everyone else, we’ll lie down, and regret throwing away the seconds. Only this time, there are no minutes to go looking for them.
