" Carpe Diem, boys, make your lives extraordinary" - Mr. Keating (The Dead Poet Society)

Chaos, the never ending game of tug-o-war between the believers and the knowers, the real and the false, the strong and the forceful, though, in all truth, it is the clash between man and mankind.
“Homo sapiens - the only surviving hominid; species to which modern man belongs; bipedal primate having language and ability to make and use complex tools “- thefreedictionary. This is how a human is defined from a scientific standpoint. Just another species in the catalogues of earth, people tend to forget this. Forget that we, from a genetics standpoint, are no more special than an ape. People forget to remember that there is only one thing that makes us special. It is for sure not our stature, our appearance, our opposable thumbs, for, honestly we are a highly undeveloped species. We have no fur to keep us warm, no claws, no heightened sense of smell or sight, from nature's view and to the view of all other animals on this planet, our physical appearance must be laughable. But we are not,we are the top of the pyramid, the all powerful developers, we are the humans. Human- an animal, who while their physical appearance is weak and frail, their brain capacity set them apart from all other living things on earth.
This definition comes with a price, though, a price that many of us are not willing to pay nor understand. The price of having to answer to a question, a question that shall not be denied an answer. The decision whether to act upon man, or act upon mankind. And then having to be ever locked in combat against the side that they deny.
Man is a greedy creation. A creature who has become his creation. Becoming the bulldozer. Becoming the machine. Becoming the weapons. The tools of their recently defined nature have become them. Evolving them into the destroyer, the moral-less and the killers that they were never meant to be but shall be when the greed that is man finally overcomes the morality, greed that will eventually define them.
Forever they have had this. From the moment they have evolved they had to fight this green beast that lurks within them, just crouching, silently, until the moment it becomes powerful enough to turn a human into a nothing more than a ravaged beast. Always taking a chance to climb the rope and to become higher than others.
The people that destroy culture, the people that ridicule, the people that assume for those in power, it is okay, the people who throw things down upon the ground to in front of them again and again to create a staircase of bodies until it is tall enough to reach the final destination, this is man. Man who believes he since, from his sights, he is the smartest creature on Earth, nature and morality has no laws over him. The thing that will go to the farthest and unlock things that should never be unlocked just to prove he can.
Man has always been the great survivor, surviving in the lowest of odds.. Always grabbing on to the thinnest of hopes and the vaguest of dreams so they can finally pull himself up to the sun again.
That is our greatest weakness, not knowing when it is time to let go. Learning how to how to kneel.
But why this makes us elementary, this is also what make us beautiful, the thing that defines us as humankind.
For when one fights for others instead of oneself, when one fights for something larger than oneself, then one becomes humankind, one meets morality
We are bounders in the face a dynamite, refusing to be moved. This is a foolish thing but a supremely remarkable thing. We have fought time and time again, refusing to drown. We always come back, and come back fighting. Fighting for the right, the justice and the truth that everyone and everything so greatly needs and deserves. Mankind does not fight for themselves but fights for someone else. They fight to be free, for freedom is something worth dying for, this is something mankind understands but man does not, life is not worth living without something to die for.
Mankind is curious, maybe too much, but this is what strives us to explore and discover. Curiousity, what leads us, even though it is dangerous

Mankind is hopefully curious, curious about the different, curious for what we can not understand. Mankind strives for knowledge, they always have and always will. This makes them beautiful. The people who ask “What is in that cave?” and answer with excitement “There is only one way to find out “ and plunge headfirst in. They fight for knowledge, no matter the cost. They are the ultimate explorers.

But what separates them? What separates man and Mankind? One word, morality. They know when to stop. When it is no longer worth it.

Those who understand that because we can, does not mean we should and that contemplate through the eyes of possibilities and not through the eyes of greed.

Now I am going to use the words of someone who have use these thoughts before, someone who can word it better that I for in the words of Montaigne “I quote others to only better express myself”.
“Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can really see the sky?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.”-Bob Dylan
This work from man, for man, describes my point exactly, when man hears these question, they look away, but when mankind hears this they answer in soft, loving tone, they answer,” too many, but now we can, and now we must mend it.”
Man’s sight stops at him, Mankind’s stops at the world. This is the difference.
A difference that has changed the world.
Both of these are inside all of us, both of them have the possibility to overcome us. Though let us think towards the sun.
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” -Ghandi
Truer words were never spoken. Man and Mankind are linked always mixing but Mankind will triumph over man, because they have a reason to live and they have a life to love.
Chaos, in truth, is the clash between man and Mankind. What side though will you choose? Whose side will you fight on?
Will you fight with the believers or the knowers? The real or the false? The forceful or the strong.
Will you have the greed to fight for your life or have the strength to to fight for something you are willing to die for?
The questions of being human.

Venting, this is what often drives me to write a piece. With all the hundreds of bombings and depressing stories all over the news it often makes me lose faith in humanity, but there still is hope...
