Freedom Tunnel
Freedom Tunnel is a haven for graffiti artists and those without a permanent home. I had an incredible opportunity to explore this beautiful place that many New Yorkers don’t know about. I started a photo series called “exploring Freedom Tunnel”. This project lasted 3 years, and each time I went down into the tunnels it felt like the first time. My goal was to document the rapid changes of this environment. It was shut down early this year, which made it impossible to access. This project made me grow as a photographer and person. I got to experience an underground world that was magical and hidden from society.
