Sharing a Laugh
This summer I was riding on the back of a bicycle rickshaw through the streets of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, an amazingly bustling and entertaining section of India's capital. In front of me my mother and cousin rode in another rickshaw. There seemed to be endless picture-taking opportunities for me as one thing after another grabbed my attention. I was engrossed in getting a shot when I suddenly realized they were yelling and pointing at something to my right. The driver was shouting "Chicken, chicken!" I looked and saw a goat standing comfortably on the roof of a car. Not a chicken, a goat. Then I saw them all laughing, which was when I snapped this picture. My guess is he knew the word for goat and meant it as a joke. I found it funny, and appreciated the humor coming from a man who works very hard each day in the hot, congested streets of the city.
