This is an unfortunate house fly. I had to kill it to photograph it (I stuck it in a freezer for an hour). It took a while to get the lighting right and the focus perfect. I don't have a macro lens so I out my standard zoom on reverse and that seemed to do the trick. Feedback is appreciated!

I didn't think of flies as unsusual or beautiful until I saw this picture! Was it just a regular housefly? What camera did you use that it could do a shot like that without a macro lense?
