How is it that one match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to start a campfire? ~Christy Whitehead

and

Never do anything that you wouldn't want to explain to the paramedics. ~Author Unknown

I laid the yellow lily
On the memory hardened ground
Underneath the crabapple tree
That together we found.

It’s been five years
Since we played here
Since I shed any tears
For my lost friend.

It wasn’t fair
He was too young
To have to care
About life ending

It is a curse
This thing called “Cancer”
Sent down to Earth
To teach us a lesson.

I lost my best friend
He lost his life
A wound that still has to mend
Was created in my heart.

MY bestfriend died of cancer when we were both young. I never really got over it and I doubt I will. It still hurts and I guess I'll never really know why God wanted him in Heaven.
