If the world was perfect
There would be no mistakes for us to learn from.
If the world was perfect,
There would be no pain us to suffer from
To make our happy days even happier.
If the world was perfect,
true wonders would not exist.
If the world was perfect,
There would be no deaths for us to mourn,
Nor would we feel the rejoice of newborn lives.
If the world was perfect,
We would not be here.

I have, actually, read The Giver. I see what you mean, it's so tragic there...

I can see what you mean!  A perfect world is not necessarily ideal.  If you haven't read The Giver, I really suggest you do so.
