Broken
Blood stained roses
Ripped to shreds
Liquid amber eyes
Rolled back in the head
Lying there on the floor
A slip in time could save me or
My chipped away heart;
Porcelain skin so icy cold
Reach down to soothe the soul
Hold me in your arms too tight
Promise my everything is alright
Breathe into me life again
What if I reached out
To grasp your hand
While choking in the grasp of death;
Pry open the bars
To this cell at night
Get me out before death takes flight
With it's dead ends and stony walls
I'm smothering in the placid fog
Sweep me up, I'll hold on tight
Save this broken girl tonight.
