Hallway Talk
It’s a nervous day for her at school
She walks through the halls with her head towards the ground
Scared to look up ‘cause she’ll fall right down
Opening her locker, she looks around
And sees him standing with his group of friends.
Butterflies invade her stomach as she continues grabbing her books
She sees him walking over, and begins to panic
Closing her locker she slowly makes eye contact
Then he smiles, and she exhales
Just because now she knows everything’s going to be all right.
