The First Communion Necklace
I was in second grade about to receive my first communion at school
My teacher gave you to me and I felt so cool
It belonged to her when she was my age
It was so unique, and it could not be upstaged
You had a shimmering, gold chain with a picture of Mary and Jesus that to me was so precious
And I know that it will forever bless us
From that day on, I always keep you in my view
I have faith that you will see me through and through
