The Pre-Holiday Season- A Terza Rima Poem
Its almost the holidays
Cold weather and joy
But first comes the busy days
Tests start to annoy
A concert or three
A show just for fun
Busy as a bee
Overwhelmed and done
Stressed for good it seems
Holidays are to relax
But I’m ripping at the seams
I’m the glass that cracks
Every day that passes
Life is supposed to get easier
They all go slow as molasses
Sometimes each day is a meteor
But what’s life without activity?
In the end, I’m glad it’s here, no matter how busy the holiday cheer

This poem is about the stress of the 3 weeks before the holiday breaks come, what I like to refer to as the Pre-Holiday Season. I've always heard poems turn out best if they are about real life so I gave that concept a try.
