Forgive your enemies but remember their names!

Years I have fought

Years have I won

It is the emperor that I follow

With no worry within my soul

But now I am lost

With only a sliver of my honor left

I am in a sea of broken dreams

Washed ashore as if I were nothing

I awake to the sounds of those I have killed

Regretting everything

I must regain my honor

For the Doctor whom I travel with is mad

Still I begin to believe that If this may be so

I will regain it, I will rebuild it

With the friends that I’m with

Emperor, understand I have found my place

To make amends

For past transgressions

Forever loyal

The author's comments:

Japanese soldiers were always loyal to their emperor and always had family honor. Losing that honor meant shame, and this is what our character feels. He even feels that he has failed because of his wrong doings. Through change over time he begins to understand that he can regain his honor and build upon it.
