Karma
Sometimes I am mean
I mean really and
Remarkably cruel
Harsh words fall from my tongue
And slash your face
Into a bloodied mass
Of shame
Sometimes I don’t care
What others think of me
I say exactly what I think
Feel
Express all I believe
Sometimes I ignore you
Pretend you don’t exist
See your blank expressions
Hands upon your hips
Your silent tears caused by
My rejection
Which remind me that
Sometimes I string you along
Include you for my own laughter
Give you a false labile
Then pull the earth from beneath your feet
Inducing emotions bittersweet
Sometimes I forget how I got this way
Then I remember
You treated me the same
Sometimes I accept as true
That karma did come back
To you
