The Break-up
As you walk by me
To act like nothing happened,
The tears start to roll down my face.
My lips start to tremble,
All these thoughts going through my head,
But I just can’t find the words.
I want to just yell and scream so loud!
Tell you how much you hurt me.
But when I look at you, I can’t help but smile;
How can I stay so mad at you?
Could it be because you said you loved me, but you were really lying?
Or because you hurt me when you cheated on me?
You meant the world to me,
But you threw it all away just in one night.
You hurt me in such a way, I never want to be hurt like that again.
I felt betrayed and victimized by you.
I have moved on,
I am much happier with this new guy.
And being able to look at you in the hallway and not smile,
Makes me feel so good about myself.
