A Silly Poem
The King of Tweedlle Doo went a walking one day
And spied a large crater and to himself he did say,
"I think I'll go figure his out,"
Inside the crater was a Star named Tomater
His shinning was dull and he countenance somber.
"Oh King," the Star cried, "I'm at a lost as what to do!"
"My Glue came unstuck and I'm feeling quite blue..."
"Why so blue?" asked the King of all Tweedle Doo
"They're jealous and cruel!" said the star on the ground
Of his friends in the air all flying around.
"They don't want me no more and they pushed and they shoved,
Till I came loose and fell from heaven above.
And now my shine's dirty and i feel oh so cruddy,
And I don't know if I'll ever make it up there again."
The king thought and he pondered till his head hurt a bunch.
Then cried "Oh, I have it!" and related his spectacular hunch
To the Star that was stuck in the crater.
He took two trees and some old, stretchy rubber
and tied one end to one and one to another.
The king liked the look of the slingshot he made,
And promised the star he'd surely be saved.
The star rolled onto the rubber and the king pulled and strained,
So much that he feared his eyes would pop out of their socket
Then the the Star flew off like a big giant rocket
Never to worry again.
The king wiped his hands, a large grin on his face,
Happy to know he'd put a star in Its place.
