Villain
Don't call me your hero.
I’m more like a villain.
Don’t look at me that way.
It’s your hope that I’m killin’.
Don’t put your faith in me.
I’ll betray it like that.
Don’t even think to trust me.
I’ll leave you and never look back.
You say that you love me.
And my honey colored eyes.
My words are so sweet.
But they’re nothing more than lies.
I’m pretending for you
Because that’s who I am.
But if you want to know the truth,
I never gave a damn.
I’m writing these words
Because it’s easier this way.
Maybe you’ll forget it,
And we’ll laugh about it some day.
I’m just weak in this way.
Taking the easy way out.
But in case I wasn’t clear,
Let me erase any doubt.
I will never be your hero.
I am better as the villain.
Take my words to heart.
This knowledge I’m instillin’.
Forget that you knew me.
And my honey colored eyes.
Forget all my words.
All my truths and all my lies.
Find someone that will love you,
Because that will never be me.
Let go of your feelings.
And let yourself be free.
