Broken Thoughts and Hearts...Sleep Well
“Sleep well fair angel,
May your dreams be ever true.
The nightmares and visions of black,
Melt away like morning dew.
While you sleep there softly,
Upon your cloudy bed,
May thoughts of light and happiness,
Fill up your empty head.
The day may have been long,
Bad feelings felt before,
The day has come,
The night is done,
The darkness, nevermore.
------
Sleep well fair maiden,
May your dreams be ever good.
The life you lead is difficult,
So few then understood.
So tell me now fair maiden,
What more is there to say?
Who else will be there to lie,
And drain your life away?
I wish to help and comfort,
Not to break into your thoughts,
The burden you bare,
We all may share.
I truly hope it stops.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I’m so sick,
There is no cure for me,
Here I lie upon the ground,
Wishing just to be.
The poison spreads like wildfire,
The concoction black and slick,
What’s it like to feel it flow,
Through veins like blood so thick.
I will burn through it all,
These agonies and pain.
This black heart of my own making,
Deep and dark like a stain.
Forgive me…please…if it’s the only thing you do…for if I learn the right way…I’ll learn to love you too…”
