You are a magnet
I am but a needle
Small and invisible
But sharp
I can prick
And
I can mend
But I can too
Be drawn in
By an invisible force
That I don't control
But controls me
And beckons
And grabs
My attention
My usefulness
And uses me
And when
You leave
And your pull is gone
There I lay
Lost on the floor
Waiting to be drawn in again
