One Big Happy Nothing

My hands, they shake.
I move them down to my side.
I lurk down the stairwell.
The staring presides.
A room full of souls.
Forgiven or not.
The liars and cheaters.
Oh, I never forgot.
I'm back here again.
A reunion, you see.
Except this is a toll.
For the past is the fee.
The smiles and laughs,
they're but failed attempts.
To cover up this course
of unfortunate events.
