Not Knowing
I hate doing this writing
It makes me sick thinking
about the past, covered in dust
The old flame between us,
That maybe I imagined was there,
Still burns within me
I've always wondered though
Did you ever feel it?
the touch, the words, the time
I know at some point was in affect
But what angers me is not knowing
if you, at any point, felt anything
I know you said, and heard the words
but did you feel anything?
Like the adoration, the intensity, the love maybe?
But I guess I will have to live with not knowing...
