An Ode to Baseball
Many hours put on the diamond.
Not a jewel but field.
With the adrenaline rush on the mound.
In the box, a bat I wield.
The biggest commitment in the summer,
It is a grind but well worth it.
Always with friends, never a bummer.
Hoping to end with the record perfect.
Chasing baseballs like a dream,
Hoping that scouts will spot me.
Wishes to go to State is the reason
We need your wishes of good luck, this season.
