I looked for A in
autumn’s leaves,
absurd daydreams,
and afternoon naps.
I looked for E in
egg filled baskets,
the end of the road,
and deep in a pocket.
I looked for I in,
winter’s wind,
behind a smile,
and my intertwined fingers.
I looked for O in
oblong drops from the clouds,
across the optometrist,
and the ocean.
I looked for U in
the underside of umbrellas,
an uproar of the universe,
and unicorns.
I looked for Y in
years of youth,
a yard of happy
and yellow yarn.
