Ten Minutes
I have ten minutes.
Ten solemn empty minutes
Ten happy joyous minutes
It’s all the same anyway.
Ten teardrops
Coursing down my face
For everything that’s lost never taken
Never held close at night.
I have ten minutes
Ten minutes before you walk away
Ten minutes before you tear my heart to shreds.
Ten minutes to say how much I care.
Ten minutes
Gazing into the vacant eyes
Of a spirit patched with dreams
And thoughts that don’t include me.
Here in the armourer’s hall
At thirteen o’clock
Until thirteen ten
Every second that you give me.
I have ten minutes.
Ten minutes to turn it all around.
Ten minutes to explain my side.
Ten minutes to try to win you back.
I have ten minutes.
You have forever.
