A Heart Let Go
As the clock ticks down
The hands wind to an end
My life slowly dies
This discomfort that I feel
This isolation that you see
Is true and murderous
I can see it in your eyes
You hate me
You love me
You lust me
Either way it begins to happen
This depth of realization
I am horrible
No longer loved by you
I have no one left to rest with me
This episodic hell time
Has began running in my head
This pit of sheer ecstasy
Gone with a shatter of a mirror
The cut of a rope
And the slice of the mind
As the crystal bleeds out
You see the tears
Of the one you love
Falling in desperation
The disease you put on me
This addiction never failing
The contempt of the hearts once broken
Killed by simple insanity
The smile cracked and faded
This masquerade is over
She falls to the floor
Dies in her own self pity
Why did she let herself do this?
Why did she let herself go?
