Her soft shadow slowly soaked up the rain,
She saddened at the surreal sight of
summer's end.
The lowering limbs of the elongated
maple tree,
Leveled the likable dew that lingered
at its bend.

Slow yet subtle, the satisfaction of
seasonal change
Scattered sweetly among the sunset like ember.
And the lovely leaves that liberated loneliness
Only locked her thoughts into loving
late September.
leaves that liberated loneliness,
Only locked her thoughts into loving late September.

The assignment was to write something using either alliteration, or some sort of redundance in assonance/consenance.

This is certainly one of my favorites: "I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes." -2 Samuel 6:22

Very nice. I really liked this piece. The alliterations in it were very nice, not to over-bearing that you can't read it aloud. It had a nice length and was not to confusing with its imagery. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this piece.

God bless,
