My Arms Still Open
Just when you thought you'd lost it all,
Your life,
Your family,
And your dignity.
Here I was.
My arms wide open,
And my heart on my sleeve.
My arms wide open,
For you to fall when you were down.
I told you I'd show you everything,
Love,
Happiness,
And what it's like to have someone that cares.
My arms still open.
My hands to hold,
While tears ran down your face.
My arms wide open.
My shoulder to lean on,
When you had nothing else.
If I had one more quest,
Just one more demand.
I'd wish you'd take my hand,
and come into my arms, still wide open.
