Non-Living, Living Dream.
The flowers bloom in the evening sun-
Golden rays fill my face,
This is a place I like to go.
{Though it's not a place, it's in my head.}
Bright and warm-
His arms around my neck,
Laughing and joking.
All my friends are hid-
For once I'm not sure where they are.
This place I like to go is not my choice-
but who's it is,
I do not know.
For this is the place I see-
When I close my eyes in peace.
Though it only visits when I think of him.
A few butter-flies here and there-
A beautiful sight.
The grass gently blows in a light breeze.
My hair is like a feather-
being tossed over my shoulder.
His eyes are shining bright-
It feels nice.
My face grows warm with a blush,
my hands sweat in nervousness.
Not the person in this dream,
but me-
Myself.
My breathing sways-
do I want this dream to be alive-
or just be a dream?
It's already alive in me...
It's my non-living, living dream.
