Graduation
The weather
Is getting warmer
The trees
Are getting bigger and
The seasons
Are changing
Every night
I look at my graduation dress
And think
“I’m going to be
Wearing that dress
In less than two months
Time
Is going by
So fast
Everything
Is speeding pasting me
My grade, age, school, life
It’s like I am in a race
To see how far I can get
Before I pass out
Which way do I turn
So I can stay
On the right track
Still in 1st place
Everyone behind me
That’s right
I’m fast and still growing
On the inside
I see myself
Still wearing khaki pants and blue polo shirts
On the outside
I see myself
Wearing a beautiful dress
I feel like
I should still be in middle school
But actually
I’ll be in high school
New friends
New classmates
New school
A whole new transition
School to school
Friends to friends
Yep that’s right
Me
Smart and growing
