Poised Decadence
Here lies her bodice,
Broken and true.
She gave her heart for you.
She carried you across those Atlantic waves
But her life was not something you could save.
Magnificent and grandiose once,
Now nothing but a rusting iron bunch.
The water chills her planks and bow,
So deep down as decay soaks into every watery crevice.
The pulse of life and brilliance is there,
Like a ghostly aura.
But it is gone with the blink of an eye.
The maiden is forever laid to rest
Because beauty obstructed nature’s path.
So here lies her bodice,
Broken and true.
