It was a cold summer day ice hung from the cemetery gates
And everyone was talking about the summer they’d had
As the crow flew down to the land of the dead.
“What news? What news?” They all asked
The crow hade been expecting this, for since the day he’d come barring news that
The cat was dieing they’d asked him at lest once a week
“I have non”the crow said
“Then why come?” one asked “go home and don’t come back in till you have news for us”
There was a mummer of agreement
“Vary well” said the crow and flew in to the night air.
The crow did not come back for 3 weeks and some began to whisper that maybe they’d
Been harsh on him.
On the 5th week a zombie spotted a black spot in the sky coming closer.
By the time the crow landed everyone was gathered around him
“He has survived” the crow said
