Silent Inside of Me
You feel trapped inside your own voice,
Like a child shut inside a frozen freezer.
The words want to come out and live,
But they can’t, they are trapped inside.
An inescapable feeling threatens to consume,
As you choke on phrases uncaught.
The pain inside throbs with a fiery pressure.
When will this torture end?
When will I be able to speak again?
You want to break out and scream,
Just let the load placed on you out.
There is so much that you want to say,
But cannot for the invisible fence leads on.
No one is the wiser for your suffering,
As you bear it in ultimate silence.
All though you cannot speak, cannot voice
Your opinion to the peoples of the earth,
Don’t forget to…breathe.
