The Space Between Kingdoms

Air pockets

Packaged peanuts

And perpetual cries

4,882 miles between two worlds

What I consider new

Is their home

But whatever is part of them

Is part of me

Whistles of blowing clouds

While we wait

With nothing to do

Miles below me

While I discover the other part of me

Clarification of my past

Hard to imagine such a contrast

Between kingdoms of inheritance

As I do so much to see Oma and Opa
