Difference
I wish I could change the old me
And teach him something new
Cuz my regret’s as big as the sea
When life is no guarantee
I lived in the ghetto, projects, and hood
All came with side effects
That I never understood
Until they told me their dark secrets
You see life’s beyond our own thinking
Something we can’t even imagine
But people still out there drinking
Not caring about what will happen
They fade onto a dark path
As their life is slowly drained
One day they’ll feel god’s wrath
As they’re legacy remains stained
Sometimes I wonder where my life will take me
Then realize I’ll go nowhere if I do nothing
Some people say life is worthless, well I heavily disagree
Cuz when I look at you, I see your hurt blushing
There’s also people like my past self
Ruthless, Heartless, and Evil
Not scared to take someone’s life off the shelf
Then cover the crimes like a weasel
But there’s a difference between us
And it’s that I was born and raised this way
But ya’ll just began to to lose trust
Which made you adjust
When I thought this was childs play
But if I can change, why can’t you
If I let go, you can too
I’ve seen what it changes you into
Something I wish I never went through
So when life begins feels like hell
Just know, I know it all to well
