Empty Since
A little girl cries herself to sleep
When the world has been on her shoulders
She would curl up underneath her covers
And pray for tomorrow a better day
When her prayer falls to no existence
She withdraws back with a pain
But still she would keep trying
Never will she restrain
All her life, her heart has been filled
With doubt, lies, pain, deception
Still she would look to the Heavens
With certainty and no exceptions
As the years pas on, more
Experiences come, that seem to weaken
Her strength. Heart broken, crushed, played, and pushed over
Still she looks to the sky
Hoping for a better chance
And through the days, months, and years,
Her heart has been empty since.
