Climate Change
The snow melting slowly from the peaks
A future that already looks very bleak
As the pollution goes into the sky
Right where birds used to fly
In the place that we all used to
Call our sanctuary from the world
Forests burning from worse drought
Icicles forming in the south
Situations worsening, a place on fire
People still don't think that it's dire
Even as nature slowly disappears
Right in front of our eyes
Gifted a forest of opportunity
We decided that it was just lumber
Naive to think that winter stays forever
When we let all the snow melt
Sitting back and doing nothing to help
Ignoring each and every crying sound
We let the world fall apart
Did nothing and made it worse
Decided to ignore all the charts
As the perfect world we once had
Became worse and irreversible
We continued to tear the world apart
The honest truth is that
There was just no time
To say a final goodbye
As the fire we started
Consumed the earth and
Burned us to the ground
