Desperately Seeking Your Attention
Desperately seeking your attention
But your head’s always turned the other way
Screaming inside because the frustration
I feel, is growing more and more each day
You have told me that you truly love her
As if she had walked straight out of your dreams
So gentle and soft, just as you prefer
I say I’m happy, nothing’s how it seems
I always try my best to be friendly
But you cannot see the look in her eyes
She can’t hide her feelings of jealousy
Our relationship, which she does despise
You don’t know it yet, but one day you’ll see
How amazing together we will be
