A new wave across America,
The graceful ship, unimaginable.
Excitement grew from deep within,
Each elegant or simple passenger.

Who would have though something
So great, a tragedy? The thousands
Aboard laugh and dance through the night,
Enjoying each other’s company.

That single starless night.
The arctic crisp air.
An unwanted encounter with rigid ice,
Began the fall of the Titanic.

As the flood rose deck by deck,
Lover’s emotions spilled from their eyes.
Clinging to each other, or the bone chilling rails,
The ship was swallowed by the vast serene waves.
