Paralyzed

I used to be someone praised and idolized
But I’m now nothing more than a pair of eyes
Watching the world as I remain unseen
Confined to spectate behind a screen
Throughout each day I'm reminded constantly
That I'm a prisoner to my own body
My whole life is slowly wasting away
As I lie here unmoving, day after day
However, for every moment I remain still
I will continue praying for a miracle
For perhaps one day God will have mercy
And decide to remove this curse from me
