Triumphant Melody
The victorious waltz
To which I first fell in love
He asked me to dance
I gladly obliged
And we were spinning
The Ballroom flashing by
Everything a blur
And 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3
Spin in!
Nothing but he and me
The world disappeared
While I was in his arms
Safe, secure
This is love
This is perfection
This is how it’s meant to be
I looked into his eyes
As he stared into mine
And something passed between us
We couldn’t look away
And I just wanted to stay
In his strong arms
Protected and adored
While we danced
Step for step
And he asked my name
And I blushed and whispered it
As if it was dangerous to give out
Such information
Should anyone else here
And he murmured his
And asked where I was staying
In London
I obliged his request
And he relinquished his
And then our dance was done
And he bowed and kissed my glove
And I blushed and bayed him stay
He smiled and said
He was hoping I would ask
And he said That waltz was truly
A triumphant melody
